Appointment of Headteacher 

Following the retirement of our current Headteacher, St Matthew's and CDAT are seeking to appoint a passionate champion for children, the community and the church to lead our school.

 

We are looking for an outstanding leader who will continue to move our school forwards and will have the highest ambitions for our children. The applicant will be a skilled communicator who can engage with all sections of our community, and who will have a clear vision for excellent Christian education.  Our new headteacher will also appreciate the benefits of working closely with other schools within CDAT, learning from and sharing best practice.

 

St Matthew’s is a one-form-entry Church of England Academy with a 40-place nursery class situated in Edgeley, Stockport.

 

Salary:                                                £56,434 - £62,262 (Reference points L15-L19)

                                                            (Starting salary negotiable for exceptional candidates)

 

Preferred start date:                         January 2020

 

Closing date for applications:        4pm on Monday 16th September 2019

 

Shortlisting will take place on Tuesday 17th September, and shortlisted candidates will be contacted as soon as possible after the shortlisting meeting.

 

Interview dates:                                25th & 26th September 2019
