Brereton Church of England Primary School

Welcome to Brereton Church of England Primary School

‘Love God, Love Learning and Love One Another.’

Brereton is a thriving school, just outside Holmes Chapel.  We are proud of our community and we work closely with our church, St Oswald’s.  Our Christian vision and values are at the heart of all we do at Brereton and we serve to provide all who come here with the opportunity to celebrate their abilities and achievements, whilst tackling new challenges and experiences together.

We have developed an engaging, purposeful curriculum which ensures children are well prepared for the next stage of their education and they are able to develop new skills in subjects such as PE, Art and Music.  Children enjoy regular trips, visits and theme days, which help to enhance our teaching and make learning memorable.  We pride ourselves on working closely with parents and carers to ensure that the very best standard of care and education is received.

Brereton joined CDAT in March 2018 and it has provided us with fantastic opportunities.  Staff across the Trust benefit from training with outstanding providers, such as Early Excellence, and they enjoy sharing good practice and learning from one another.  Visiting other schools and sharing ideas helps to develop us all as professionals.  Our children relish the opportunity to visit other schools and work together.  For example, our Ethos Council has worked with other CDAT schools in Cheshire East to complete projects on charity and reflection.

I started at Brereton back in 2013, working within EYFS and KS1, and I now have the privilege of leading this wonderful school. Brereton is an incredibly special school within an active community. The dedication of the staff, the support of the parents and the enthusiasm of the pupils is truly inspirational and working with CDAT means we are able to do even more to ensure our children have the best education and care.
