The Principal, Governors and CDAT Board of this forward-thinking school are looking to appoint an inspirational, strategic and highly motivated Vice Principal. The post holder will work closely with the Principal to build on the current successes of the school.

St Matthew’s is a popular, one form entry, Church of England Primary school with growing numbers. This will initially be a non-class based position with significant opportunities to lead on a range of responsibilities across key stages.

Chief Operating Officer

We are delighted to announce that Mr Andrew Ross has been appointed as Chief Operating Officer. Andrew will take up the post on 8th January 2018. 

A qualified accountant and Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute, Andrew initially trained as a musician. This led to a career in teaching and following a period of teaching instrumental music in both primary and secondary schools he went on to become Head of Arts for a Local Authority in Scotland. During this time, he developed an interest in the business and finance aspects of schools and in 2008 he moved south to take up post as Finance Director for two of the first City Academies in Sheffield. Since then Andrew has been involved in the setting up and converting of a number of Academies as well as undertaking consultancy roles, most recently with a large Multi Academy Trust. His experience covers the whole range of business support services from Finance and HR to Facilities Management and Health and Safety as well as Learning and Teaching where most recently he has taught Accountancy and Economics.
